The location is on the south west coast of Sri Lanka, an idyllic destination with stunning beaches, surf, diving and endless adventures. Staying close to the beach of Bentota, a long and wide sandy beach with rolling waves lapping the shore and palm trees framing the beach, relax in the sun and enjoy a swim or if you feel like a lazy day, stay by the infinity pool in the pavilion gardens of our accommodation. Enjoy 2 yoga classes a day, bicycles to get around, excursions to the surrounding area or just chill and take in the beauty of your surroundings.

Around the venue there is a lot to do: Spend the day relaxing on the extensive and beautiful beach Bentota that we will get to by bike, tuk tuk or if you like by one of the villas many morris minors! There is a beautiful lake by Lunganga House or take a visit to the Buddhist temples and meet the elephants. Other activities include bike rides, Kosgoda turtle hatchery, markets, kayaking, windsurfing, surfing. For diving we are 30 minutes away from the better dive area, a place called Hikkadua, where we can snorkel on the reefs or dive if you would like.

Our beautiful Gold Buddha accommodation was formerly the colonial residence of Bentota’s ayurvedic doctor before being transformed into a beautiful 6 bedroom boutique hotel. It is a grand 150 years old restored Dutch Colonial Villa. The property is set in 4 acres of lush garden that teams with wildlife, birds and plants selected originally for their medicinal properties.
The garden also houses a beautiful fresh water infinity pool and stunning pavilion where meals are taken. It is located on the west coast of Sri Lanka, 1.5 hours from the airport and just 15 minutes from the wide sandy beaches of Bentota which is a beautiful beach and has been voted one of the top 10 beaches of the world and there is the option to surf here also. Yoga will take place in the pavilion gardens in the morning and evening.

We will be fully catered for by the Villas Sri Lankan staff so be prepared to be wowed by their local flare. Brunch and 3 course evening dinner is included in the price, and each day, according to what is fresh in the market that day, will be the cuisine of the day. Although a vegetarian holiday, being by the sea with catch of the day from the local fishermen, expect some fish for those who would like it..
